Start with a pre-slope under the shower pan. This allows any water that gets down to the liner to always flow to the drain- usually from the top of the bottom plate of the walls down the drain.
After we attach the liner to the drain and walls, being sure to fold liner in corners so that water cannot be trapped, we slope inside the liner. This slope is generally two inches deep with some slope.
Waterproofing is then put on the walls. Plenty of overlap on the liner so that no seepage behind the waterproofing can occur.
Next we add the backer board and float out the curb. (pay no attention to the tub) At this point the shower could be used and not leak, if it had a door. We are now ready to...
